Absolutely love the look and fit of the proud mount trim kit. My kitchen originally had a built in fridge that stopped working. However, I wasn’t able to fork out the $10k to replace it with another built in fridge. I purchased a standard fridge but this left a huge space (14”) of blank space above the fridge and the existing cabinet. The trim kit fit perfectly in the space and looks amazing.

Slightly confused when I started the prder so I called and spoke with Fabian who walked me thru the process. Our fridge now looks like a built in. I needed to provide better cooling for it so I removed the doors on the cabinet, drilled 5 ,3" holes in the bottom and solved that problem. Mounting was as claimed, 30 minutes. Don't hesitate, you will really like the new look.

Easy to install, great customer service and an excellent product. What's not to like. The fridge grill came early, perfect condition and installed in , you guessed it, 30 MINUTES. If you need help, Fabian their engineer is great.

I love my fridge now with the trim attached! From originally measuring by uploading pictures to the online order form, to receiving the actual kit complete with the installation video. The process was very easy to follow and complete. Though my set-up was slightly different since there was no cabinetry above in which to attach the trim & grill, I found installing the 2 side pieces first as directions described - then placing the grill on top of the fridge worked best. Believe it or not, I used super strong Earth magnet strips behind each side strip piece so they wouldn’t be seen. The top grill is definitely locked tight and not moving! ❤️ Definitely recommend!

Worked perfectly! Replaced subzero with GE that left a 14 inch space. I was very impressed with owner Sam assisting with fabrication of trim kit until everything worked out just as desired. Highly recommended!

Sam was really helpful with answering questions specific to our project and the product arrived quickly and was wrapped beautifully to protect everything. I had someone help me with the installation since we had new custom cabinets and appliances installed and they were on sight, but a relatively skilled homeowner could easily handle the installation. They send you paperwork with your shipment with links to specific YouTube videos for your installation.

Cosmetically, the trim kit looks great! Lots of compliments from friends and tradespeople that have been in the house and worked on our project. This is worth the money! I hope the pictures help show what it looks like as a finished product. Our application has the refrigerator next to a pantry door on one side and a double oven on the other side, so our fridge is probably pulled out further from the wall for clearance of the door swing than other applications

We also wanted to use the trim kit to help "future proof" our custom kitchen cabinets, since appliances seem to only last 5-7 years AND there is no real standardization of measurements with refrigerators. We figured it would be easier to get a new trim kit to retrofit any new refrigerator than it would be to try and modify/paint match our custom cabinets that were built to custom fit the refrigerator we bought.

I relied on other reviews on this website for prior versions to help us make the decision to buy the refrigerator trim kit. I hope this review helps someone else. Don't hesitate; if you want that expensive built in look while using a regular refrigerator - this is your product!

During our kitchen remodel 20+ years ago we created a big box for our built in, counter depth fridge.
We had to replace the fridge after 10 years , but received a small credit from GE.
Well… another 10 years went by and we had another dead fridge.
To replace a 42” built in fridge is around 11K. Not something we wanted to do.
Luckily for us , we found this kit, so we could use a standard counter depth fridge … which still is deeper than a built in … but hey it was 4K vs 11K !
Anyways this kit was able to fill in the 3” gaps on each side and the 12” gap on the top of the fridge.
This kit really gives it a built in look!
The order form and install was fairly simple as well.
If you’re struggling with dropping all that cash on a built in that will only last 10 years, I really recommend this kit. Sam is the man !!
